Duke of Sussex, W4

Stylish pub with a busy restaurant and some decent ale with one craft lager. Worth a visit if you're in this part of town.

  1. Myself and a friend had been in the pub which I have been going to for 7 years.

we entered around 1pm and had been having a couple of pints every hour or so as well as some food, around 7pm the manager Nikola came and told us to move from our table as they needed it for quiz night, we had been patrons since 1pm and refused to move as it had no reservation sign and we were comfortable where we were. she was rude and condescending in the way she spoke with us. 10 minutes later a random customer comes by asking us to move which show this manager clearly discussing matters with other patrons, we explain to the random man we have been here for 6 hours spending money and are comfortable where we are. I then try to order a couple more beers only to find all the staff had been told by nikola the manager not to serve us. I then confronted the manager as to why we are not being served and she became emotional to the point of tears saying we will not serve you unless you move.

this is an absolute joke and appalling standard to hold your business to. I doubt I will be recommending the pub I called my local for 7 years.
