London Drinker Beer and Cider Festival

A smaller crowd than last year, we arrived about 6 and stayed till closing. I got to try 10 beers, notes may be a little unreliable and some are stolen direct from the programme (see if you can guess which).

Beer Geek's "Geek Unique" was a bit chocolatey. Brightside's "Manchester Skyline" was fruity but spicy. Green Jack's "Trawlerboys Best Bitter" was a "Tawny beer with aroma of apple, sultana and malt plus hints of caramel and hops. Rich fig and plum base with malt and roast overtones. Strong finish with a sticky mouthfeel."  RedWillow's "Directionless" was a pale ale.

Triple ffff Brewery's "Rock Lobster" was a tad astringent.

Mauldons' "Micawber Mild": "Fruit and roast flavours dominate the nose, with vine fruit and caramel on the tongue and  a short, dry, coffeeish aftertaste. Full-bodied and satisfying."

Fuzzy Duck's "Ruby Duck" was good.

Otley's dry-hopped "Oxymoron" went down extremely well (with Beer Goggles too).

Summer Wine's "Teleporter" was full-bodied bliss.

I finished with Treboom's "Baron Saturday", a strong porter worth another visit.
