About four fifths of the punters were playing darts in a massive team game when I walked in after a game of squash nearby. The landlady was friendly and even gave me the choice of any free sandwich. Great service and a range of the brewery's ales on top of that. Very pleasant. The only thing about some of these Shepherd Neame pubs is that the black and white with red trim signs lack character.
