Titanic "Black Ice"

The Bree Louise has a Titanic festival to mark the centenary. I'd had two of their beers before but the Black Ice was a malty addition.

Grand pub in Noho/Fitrovia with a few ales. I had Red Squirrel's "Hopfest", a golden ale which lived up to its name.

The Windemere, HA9

I see this place from the work train every day, grand and solitary, a castle of a pub. So, I took a slow train, got off at South Kenton and had a pint of Wadworth 6X. The barmaid was friendly, the decor traditional and with 3 ales on tap overall I was pleasantly surprised.

Had this full-bodied chestnut ale at my local  Casque Marque pub, the King Charles I on Northdown Road, N1. The friendly guy behind the bar let me off 10p rather than make me go to a cashpoint.
